Meet The Hosts

James

James is a highly experienced RYA Yachtmaster & Instructor and has run sailing trips in the Mediterranean for the past 10 years.   He is a passionate sailor, swimmer and Yogi, and makes all of these activities part of his day-to-day life, enjoying Coastal Yacht racing on the weekends, and many weeks of the year on board yachts organising sailing adventures.  James enjoys sharing his love of the sea and exploration with those on board the yacht.  He knows these sailing grounds well, and although there is always more to be discovered, it does mean that we are able to find the best spots for our yoga practice, or to swim and snorkel, as well as enjoy a delicious meal ashore.

James and Clair have sailed together in offshore races, and skippered boats on flotillas and adventure sailing weeks.  James enjoys watching people gain confidence and experience on the boat, and is happy to let other people take the helm.  Whether you are an experienced sailor or are yet to discover the freedom of the seas, you will be a valued part of the crew.

Clair

Clair holds a Commercially Endorsed RYA Yachtmaster and Level 4 Sports Massage Qualifications.  She owned and sailed her own boat for many years, covering many thousands of miles and sea.  This  included trips across the Bay of Biscay, through the mediterranean, and living aboard in Greece,  as well as crossing from Antigua to the Azores.  Clair loves adventure, and exploring secluded coves to find quiet beaches is her idea of the perfect pastime.

Clair loves sharing her travel adventures with friends and family, and has loved getting a team together for this trip.  She and James first sailed together on the Fastnet Race, and she met Paula a few years ago when attending a yoga class.  (Paula is now her tutor for her 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training).  Clair and Tracy met through their massage work, and Tracy has been part of the team on previous adventure retreats in Sardinia and Chamonix.  Sometimes, the pieces come together just as they are meant to, and the whole team are pleased to be working together for a week of well-being, great people, new friends, and adventure.

Harri

Angharad (Harri) is a highly skilled yoga and Pilates teacher known for her calm, supportive manner and clear, intelligent instruction. She specialises in creating classes that are accessible yet quietly challenging, offering thoughtful options so everyone feels both safe and encouraged to explore their potential. Her teaching blends mindful breathwork, flowing movement and a practical understanding of how modern life, stress and injury show up in the body, making her particularly well suited to guests seeking both reset and a refined physical practice.

Before moving into yoga, Harri was a classically trained professional ballet dancer and brings that depth of professional movement experience into her work as a teacher. An injury during her ballet career led her to yoga as a tool for recovery and resilience, and ultimately into advanced teacher training and nearly a decade of experience teaching in London studios and community settings. On this yacht-based retreat, she combines technical precision with warmth, humour and genuine care, helping guests to move with confidence, breathe more easily and fully enjoy the retreat.
