Itinerary

There are few things in life that beat the feeling of arriving on your very own yacht! 20 minutes away from the airport is in the bustling maritime town of gorgeous Göcek. With not 1, not 2, but 6 marinas, Göcek literally lives and breathes sailing. Nestled in a large bay, with spectacular scenery as your backdrop.

This enchanted town is the ideal place to start a magical week of sailing. Sure you may start out as strangers with your crewmates, but after a few drinks at our renowned Welcome Party, you’ll head to bed on the first night with oh so many new BFFs.

We set sail southwards on our first day at sea, to explore the Yassica islands south of Göcek. Mid-morning dips in the most turquoise of seas just hit a little different in Turkey. We’ll weave our way through the Yassica Islands. These uninhabited islands offer incredible snorkelling and history with ruins dotted both on the islands and submerged in the sea. We have a special place lined up this evening which makes the most delicious local food in the most beautiful setting. A group meal on the water’s edge with all 5 yachts together.

Today we sail westwards along the simply stunning Dalaman coast. Hidden away in this wonderfully understated part of the world is the most becharming place. An anchorage and stunning pine clad bay known as Ekincik. It feels untouched and by and large it is, with only one road leading in and out. Behind Ekincik’s beach is the Dalyan Delta which winds down to the small town of Dalyan with its impressive Lycian Tombs, the ancient ruins of Kaunos and the magical Daylan mud baths.

Now you’ll have found your sea legs, we’ll enjoy the longest sail of the week so far. Stopping for lunch in the middle of the Med, enjoy a little tow rope fun, a mid sea swim or just soak up the sun with a glass of rose in hand from the deck of your yacht. Worlds away from the hustle and bustle of normal life is the delightful Çiftlik Bay.

Famed for its beyond beautiful beaches, this little gem of a place is almost totally disconnected from the world. Best yet is the restaurant that we’re planning on taking you to for supper this evening. Accessed by yacht only, Mehmet Place Restaurant is iconic and is set to be a night to remember!

No trip to the Lycian Way is complete without a visit to the capital of the Turkish Riviera. Stepped in history, rich in culture, with entertainment, bars, restaurants and shops a plenty, Marmaris one of the week’s highlights. It will be a night to put on your best frock, comb that sun bleached hair and party the night away!

As totally pro sailors by now, you’ll be itching to put your skills to the test with our annual Sailing the Med yacht race. Time for your Skippers to put their feet up, while you take the ropes! Today is the pinnacle of our Great Turkish Flotilla. The quaint charm of fabulous Fethiye will make you fall even deeper in love with this majestic part of the world. We’ll take you to bathe in the beautiful Blue Lagoon of neighbouring Ölüdeniz, before heading back onto dry land for this season’s Sailing The Med Awards Evening!

Not only do we pride ourselves in putting all the best people together and making you friends for life, we also craft the best experiences for you. You know Santa Claus right? Well imagine if we took you to a small island to anchor for the night. An island which is home to the tomb of Saint Nicholas. Yep that’s right, the place where Santa Claus is said to be buried. Uninhabited, largely unvisited and literally 200m from where we will spend the night anchored to the shoreline. What a place to wake up!

Soak up the sunshine, bask in the feeling of your yacht gently rocking you awake, as you enjoy your last breakfast under the Turkish sunshine onboard your yacht. Our final day sees us sailing back to gorgeous Göcek. Take your final sunny sailing selfies of the aquamarine waters of Turkey’s Turquoise Coast, before we disembark at the marina. It’s not goodbye just yet though, as we still have our end of summer party back on dry land. A toast to the end of the best week of the summer!
