Itinerary
We’ll be starting this amazing week sailing Croatia in Sibenik. A wonderful harbour setting with a beautiful backdrop and a host of restaurants and bars to get the week started and meet other crewmates for those who arrive early. We’ll meet around midday and enjoy Saturday afternoon sailing from Sibenik to Primosten. Take a late afternoon swim in the beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters of Primosten before we enjoy our first night in style in the oldest Croatian town on the Adriatic coast.
Enjoy your first full day on the boat, with lunch at sea before an afternoon sail to Trogir. A wonderful harbour setting with a beautiful backdrop and a host of restaurants and bars. Some wonderful attractions to explore including the UNESCO World Heritage listed attractions including Kamerlengo Castle, Cipiko Palace and Trogir Cathedral. We’ll take you for supper at fantastic little bar on the waterfront.
Today we’ll explore the fantastic scenery, turquoise waters and beautiful beaches as we sail south and wiggle our way through some of the islands of this region. Arriving into the St Tropez of Croatia, Hvar is the summer party capital. Climb up to the fortress for a stunning view of old town and the surrounding Pakleni Otoci islands. Check out party spots Hula Hula Beach Bar and party til the sun comes up at the world famous Carpe Diem Beach Bar.
A quick morning swim followed by us sailing in convoy to some very special natural wonders on the island of Vis including the Blue Lagoon and Green Cave. We will use our dinghies to explore. Rich in incredible history, the old town of Vis is filled with top quality restaurants, boutiques, and cafes. Formerly a military island, Vis is loaded with places to explore including an old army wine bunker.
Late afternoon we’ll sail along the southern coast of Vis, with its spectacular cliffs and caverns before arriving in the harbour of Komiza in Vis. Komiza offers a different side of Croatia. Explore the untouched village and enjoy the unique local cuisine, where lobster is the specialty. It is said that there are more boats in Vis than permanent inhabitants!
Today we’ll head north to a secluded bay on the island of Solta. A magical bay called Sesula where the only development is a couple of rustic restaurants (Konoba) serving traditional Croatian and Mediterranean food. There’ll be plenty of opportunity on for swimming, sailing, snorkelling and chilling!
Continuing North, today we sail to the geographical heart of the Dalmatian region, the town of Rogoznica. It has one of the most beautiful marinas in the Adriatic and a 54km long coast. A combination of gorgeously sandy, smooth pebbly and rocky beaches, for those wanting more of an adventurous experience. Known for its large number of fishermen, fish will be the order of the day as we all gather for our last meal.
Enjoy a leisurely sail on the way back to the marina in Sibenik, with a stop at a breathtakingly clear water lagoon. Explore Trogir or old town Split for one last adventure with your group. Stop at one of the many restaurants, bars and clubs in the area. Have one last unforgettable night!
