The Monohulls

Our firm favourite over the years has always been premium 54 foot monohull yachts.

They offer 5 cabins (4 of which are en-suite), a large saloon area downstairs with all the mod cons (fridges, freezers, coffee machine, Dining area, food prep areas and sink).

Up on deck there is a large cockpit with seating for all the crew, a large fold out table for eating and importantly a sound system. We are protected from the Sun from a canvas bimini , so if you are prone to sunburn this is a life saver. The cockpit is where we spend most of our time, socialising, eating and of course sailing the boat!

The cabins are a mixture of double beds and single bunks, 4 of which have en-suite bathrooms,

Monohulls also sail the best into the wind, and you really get a sense of sailing when the yachts start to ‘heel’ a little when the sails fill. Everyone gets time at the helm to be skipper and steer the yacht under the careful supervision of the skipper, so if truly feeling the sense of sailing and a yacht slicing through the water is what you’re after, then a monohull is for you  👊
